Wine of the Month – May 2022

With the weather heating up for summer, it’s the perfect time to try a delicious white wine, that many people have not even heard of. We’ve been carrying this Pinela for close to two years, and it’s a shining star for those who are tired of the usual Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Grigio.

Pinela is an indigenous variety of Vipava Valley in Slovenia with a pale lemon-yellow color. The wine has fresh aromas of yellow fruits and slight hints of spices. On the taste it’s a dry wine with a noticeable freshness (acidity). A vibrant wine with a nice fruity taste and pleasant freshness.  

As with many imported wines these days, the price is very reasonable and won’t set you back much. It’s only $17.99 per bottle. Next time you’re reaching into our wine cooler, pick up a bottle of the Pikasi Pinela and I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
